ABSTRACT
Physics is considered a difficult and less interesting subject. However, in reality students often assume that physics is a difficult and less interesting subject. This is caused by the large number of formulas in solving physics problems so that it makes students confused to determine which formula will be used to solve the problem. This research aimed to examine the significant effect of applying the project based learning model on students’ higher order thinking skills in analyzing gas kinetic theory concepts. This type of research using a research design posttest only control group design. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the project based learning model had a significant effect on students' high-level thinking skills in analyzing the concept of gas kinetic theory and the project based learning model had a significant effect on students' physics learning activities in analyzing the concept of gas kinetic theory.
